WHERE IS CLI SURF ?
Cli Surf Morocco is located in the Agadir region of southern Morocco. The Taghazout Bay is a unique peaceful town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Conveniently located 45 min from Agadir international airport it’s a short hop (2-4 hrs) from most European countries. It’s the closest place for any European to get year-round sunny weather, warm water, perfect waves, and unique cultural experience.
HOW DO I BOOK A SURF HOLIDAY PACKAGE?
It’s really simple, just follow these two steps:
• Complete the online Reservation Form. Once that is complete you will be sent a reservation confirmation.
• Now its time to PAY UP! First things first, we need an initial 15 % deposit to hold your spot. Once we have that all sorted out we will send out your info package letter confirmation via email.
CAN I JOIN CLI SURF YOGA TRIPS IF I AM ALREADY IN MOROCCO?
Yes, it is possible to meet us at the airport at the beginning of the scheduled trip date. The trip price will be adjusted accordingly and you will just be responsible for the land-only price of the trip.
IS IT SAFE TO BRING MY VALUABLES: IPODS, LAPTOPS, DIGITAL CAMERAS?
We can ensure you that all of our surf camp have been well sought out and we can make certain your valuables are safe in your rooms. However, we cannot protect your valuable from theft at all times, it is your responsibility to take care of your possessions. If you are worried about something valuable it is better to leave it with the front desk where you can put it in a safe.
SHOULD I BRING MY RUNNING SHOES, IS IT POSSIBLE TO RUN?
If you enjoy running/jogging, then yes, we would highly recommend bringing your shoes.
CAN I HIRE CLI SURF'S LOCATION EXCLUSIVELY?
Sure! Whether it’s for a weekend trip, uni trip or group friends trip or if you would like to run your own trip here with us. We can tailor design a package for you. We offer all the accommodation, surfing, logistical, catering and concierge services allowing them to discover and enjoy the sun, surf and touch the Moroccan culture with their guests.
CAN I SPEND CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR AT CLI SURF?
Sure! Spend Christmas or New Year with us on the beach in the sun and surf some great waves it’s a great idea. Each year we organize a Christmas party and a New Year’s party at our unique surf house with all our guests invited. New Year is fancy dress. We like to enjoy it.
HOW ABOUT CASH? WHAT IS THE CURRENCY? WHERE CAN I GET IT?
The Moroccan currency is the Dirham. Exchange rates at last time of checking were around 12.7 DH to the £1, 11 dh to the 1€ and 8 dh to the 1$. Dirhams can only be obtained within Morocco. There are exchange facilities and ATMs in the airport. There are also plenty of ATMs in Agadir. There are ATM’s in Aourir only 3 min drive from our location. One of our tem will drive you anytime you need cash.
DO YOU SUPPLY TOWELS?
Bath towels included while staying at the Cli Surf House Morocco but not beach towels. So please bring an extra towel to take to the beach.
DO YOU CATER FOR SPECIAL DIETS?
We understand that some people have special requirements. Let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to make sure we have exactly what you need. We have great chefs and their aim is to offer you amazing food.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DETAILS
We are flexible you can arrive at any time. Our team host ready to welcome you with warm and friendly welcoming, but it is not always guarantee to have your own room ready before 2pm. If you do want to arrive early and your room isn’t ready or available start enjoying yourself and the holiday anyway we’ll take care of your bags and get you started on whatever service you have chosen and valuable things. Check out is 12pm but if you would like a later check out let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to offer late check out.
CAN I USE MY PHONE?
You can find 2 €, 5 €, 10 € and 20 € international phone cards in most grocery stores they can be used from any payphone. We can help you with any language barriers while using the cards, but really they are quite strait forward.
IS THERE INTERNET?
There is free wi.fi available at Cli Surf House and the Riad. So bring your smart phone, laptop and ipad and enjoy the wifi after long day full of activies
IS THE STANDARD OF THE SERVICES THE SAME AT EACH SURF CAMP?
Sure! At all of our 2 surf camps the services are run at the same high standard with the same friendly hospitable team, confortable cars and good quality surfing equipment.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY SHOULD I BUDGET FOR ON A DAILY BASIS?
We recommend 10 € – 15 € a day for the average person. But of course this amount varies depending on your food, shopping and nightlife activities.
I'VE NEVER SURFED BEFORE AND I'M A BIT NERVOUS.
Our surf lessons are designed with the beginner in mind. No surfing experience is necessary. As long as you can swim and feel comfortable being in the water, you can learn to surf! If you are still nervous, talk to us about it.
DO I HAVE TO BRING MY SURF EQUIPMENT ?
We will provide everything you need, but if you have your own Surf Equipment and you booking our surf guiding safaris package then bring them all. Our region has absolutely a large range and choice of waves and point breaks so bring the boards that suit what you want to ride and according to your ability and what you want to surf.
DO I NEED A VISA?
EU, US and CA passport holders with a passport document that is valid for 6 months beyond your return date don’t require a visa to enter to Morocco for tourist reason.
IS MOROCO SAFE COUNTRY?
Morocco is a very safe country. Tourism is an important segment of the Moroccan economy, and the government is very serious about maintaining security for tourists around the world.
WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF MOROCCO?
The official and the main language is Arabic however French is the recognized business and higher education language. Berber language is also spoken by a large majority of Berbers (native Moroccans). Due to its proximity to the southern coast of Spain the majority of people living in the north of Morocco speak Spanish language while English and German are often spoken in the majority and the popular tourist cities.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
No vaccinations are required for travellers to Morocco and anti-malarial precautions are not necessary. We have the first aid equipment along with team trained in administering first aid. In case of an emergency there are hospitals and clinics in Agadir city. Medical charges will apply according to the treatment received so make sure you have travel insurance before you arrive. There are as well two pharmacies in the village which are open everyday.
WHAT ABOUT CLOTHING, WHAT WILL I NEED?
Morocco is a liberal Muslim country men and women are welcome to wear shorts and t-shirts. Bikinis are normal on the beach but it is preferable to cover up your arms and legs a bit when walking around town and the public places. Winter clothes are sometimes needed especially in mid winter when the evenings can be chilly so warm clothes are a good idea during winter time in morocco.
WHAT IS THE FOOD LOOK LIKE?
Our food menu is amazing! The food served in our surf camp is carefully chosen. Our chefs Mama Fatima and Said will prepare a mixture of Moroccan and international dishes each week.
WHAT ABOUT ALCOHOLIC DRINKS?
Although islam religion forbids the consumption of alcohol by Muslims, alcoholic drinks can be legally served and sold throughout the country especially in the tourist cities. Morocco even produces its own range of wines and beers. Alcohol is not sold in the village but can be bought in Agadir city we can take you to the super market by our own car in the free time during the day or arrange you taxi if you wish to buy alcohol.
WHAT ABOUT THE EVENINGS?
It’s really up to you. You can dine on our terraces overlooking the surf and enjoy a drink under the stars, get comfy in the salon and watch a film, go and have a mint tea in the village or we can arrange taxis for those who fancy checking out Agadir’s night life!
